Sunflower LG50609 SX

Clearfield Technology for High-Yield Results

Limagrain's LG50609 CX hybrid is designed for farmers managing fields with high weed pressure. By utilizing the Clearfield (Euro-Lightning) production system, this hybrid offers a streamlined approach to weed control and broomrape management in a single herbicide application.

Agronomic Characteristics

The hybrid features a moderate plant height of 150-160 cm, ensuring excellent standability and ease of harvest for combine operators. The medium-sized head is well-suited to handle variable climate conditions, maintaining consistent grain fill even when rainfall patterns are inconsistent.

• Disease Resistance: The plant exhibits strong genetic resistance to downy mildew, reducing the need for intensive fungicide applications. Its high tolerance to powdery mildew preserves leaf surface area, which is essential for yield development throughout the growing season.
• Weed Management: Bred for compatibility with imidazolinone herbicides, this hybrid effectively clears out competitive weeds that are often resistant to standard chemical treatments.

Field Application and Strategy

LG50609 CX is a strategic choice for high-intensity farming operations. The hybrid provides a safety net against weed competition, allowing the crop to secure soil moisture and nutrients efficiently from the early stages. Its resilience makes it a reliable performer in fields where soil-applied herbicides are necessary to achieve optimal yield potential. For farmers looking to simplify their field operations while maintaining crop health, this hybrid offers a balanced solution between disease resistance and advanced weed management.
