The hybrid sunflower Trubizh belongs to early-maturing simple interlinear hybrids, recommended for cultivation in the forest-steppe and steppe zones of Ukraine. It is characterized by a period from emergence to physiological maturity of approximately 100-102 days, plant height of 160-165 cm, and a flower head diameter of 18-20 cm. Plant density at harvest time is approximately 55,000 plants per hectare, which contributes to optimal development and high yield.
Trubizh exhibits high resistance to a range of diseases and adverse factors, including wireworm, lodging, powdery mildew, gray mold, and false powdery mildew. Seed purity reaches 99.6%, ensuring their protection and quality. Thousand seed mass varies from 55.5 to 56.5 grams, and test weight is 21-22%. An important feature is high oil content in seeds — approximately 49.5-50%, making this hybrid attractive for oil production.
For successful cultivation, it is recommended to apply complex fertilizers containing nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium (N16P16K16), as well as treat with chelated fertilizer Nanomix. Harvesting is conducted without desiccants, and seed drying should be brought down to moisture content not exceeding 7%. The potential yield of the hybrid reaches 4.16-4.2 tons per hectare, confirming its high productivity and economic efficiency for farmers.
