Marvin

Marvin is a high-oleic classical sunflower hybrid designed for traditional cultivation methods. It features vigorous growth and high yield potential, reaching up to 50 centners per hectare. The hybrid belongs to the mid-early maturity group with a vegetation period of 105-110 days. Seed oil content is 52%, with oleic acid content reaching up to 93%, making the oil particularly valuable in terms of quality.

The Marvin hybrid exhibits high resistance to adverse conditions, particularly drought, ensuring stable yields even under challenging climatic conditions. It is also resistant to lodging and shattering, facilitating harvest and reducing losses. An important feature is its high resistance to seven races of the parasitic weed — downy mildew (A-G), as well as to fusarium and new races of false powdery mildew, significantly enhancing cultivation reliability.

Recommended planting density varies depending on regional conditions: for arid areas, optimal density is 55-65 thousand plants per hectare, while for regions with normal humidity, it is 65-70 thousand plants per hectare. The hybrid has a semi-prostrate growth habit, which promotes better seed formation and facilitates harvest. All these characteristics make Marvin an attractive choice for farmers aiming to achieve high-quality sunflower yields.
