Sunflower DON EXPRESS

Focusing on Early Maturity and Oil Content

«DON Express» has established itself as a reliable ultra-early sunflower hybrid. Developed for regions with a short active temperature window, this hybrid addresses the needs of farmers looking to mitigate climate risks and avoid early frost during harvest. With a vegetation period of 90–100 days, it allows for precise crop rotation management, clearing fields for winter crops as early as late August or early September.

Agronomic Resilience as a Core Asset

The hybrid's reputation is built upon its balanced immune profile. Breeders have prioritized protection against pathogens common in intensive farming environments. Resistance to phoma and phomopsis, combined with resilience to white and gray mold, ensures head integrity and seed quality even under high-humidity conditions—a critical factor for regions with volatile weather. Furthermore, protection against downy mildew is integrated at a genetic level, safeguarding yields from one of the most common sunflower threats.

Economic Performance and Cultivation Insights

Beyond its technical advantages, «DON Express» delivers competitive grain quality for its maturity group. An oil content of 45–50% makes it a highly desirable raw material for processing plants, ensuring stable market demand. When selecting this hybrid, it is essential to consider soil fertility potential; its high rate of early growth necessitates a solid baseline of micronutrients at the start of the season. This hybrid is an optimal choice for producers aiming for efficient land turnover without compromising on final output.
