The hybrid rapeseed DK 7160 CL is a medium-early spring rapeseed variety of type 00, characterized by the absence of erucic acid and low glucosinolate content. This variety is recommended for cultivation for seed and feed purposes in various regions of Russia, including the Volga-Vyatka, Central Chernozem, Middle Volga, Ural, and West Siberian regions. The plants have medium height with well-developed lateral branching, are resistant to lodging and shattering, ensuring stable yields. The vegetation period varies from 73 to 108 days depending on the region, and the 1000-seed weight is 3.4–4.0 grams. Leaves are green with moderate lobes and weakly serrated edges, flowers are yellow, medium in length and width, promoting good pollen formation and successful pollination. DK 7160 CL stands out for its high yield and adaptability to various climatic conditions. In different regions, the average seed yield ranges from 8.8 to 31.0 centners per hectare, with maximum yields reaching 37.0 centners per hectare. Oil content in the seeds ranges from 42.0–52%, meeting the standards of high-oleic varieties. The hybrid demonstrates high resistance to major diseases such as phomopsis, alternaria, and powdery mildew, as well as pests, reducing the need for intensive chemical protection. The cultivation technology for DK 7160 CL involves the use of the Clearfield system, providing resistance to herbicides of the imidazolinone group. Recommended sowing dates vary from early (August 10–15) to late (August 25–September 5), with a seeding rate of 350–550 thousand seeds per hectare. The hybrid is highly winter-hardy and drought-tolerant, branches well, and is suitable for cultivation on all soil types provided optimal nitrogen nutrition and adherence to recommended planting density.
