Sunflower S 608 is a high-yielding hybrid developed using modern agricultural technologies. It belongs to medium-early varieties with a maturation period of 106 to 115 days, allowing for effective planning of sowing operations and obtaining a stable harvest. The seeds of this hybrid have a high fraction and undergo comprehensive treatment with fungicides and insecticides, ensuring protection against diseases and pests during the early growth stages.
Hybrid S 608 is characterized by high drought tolerance and resistance to major races of the volunteer weed, making it particularly valuable for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine. It demonstrates excellent growth rates in the initial development period and consistently high yields, reaching 4.8–5.1 tons per hectare. Additionally, the sunflower has high oil content, which increases its economic efficiency for agricultural producers.
For sowing, a seed unit is used, calculated for an area of 2.2 to 2.5 hectares, simplifying the planning and implementation of agricultural technical measures. Hybrid S 608 is genetically close to known varieties, confirming its reliability and adaptability. Thanks to its homozygous type of resistance, it withstands the full rate of herbicide Express, which facilitates weed control and contributes to obtaining a clean, high-quality harvest.
