Sunflower ARCOS

Crop Stability Under Stress

The Arcos sunflower hybrid from the Ukrainian producer Grano de Oro Ukraine is designed for farmers operating in regions with unpredictable climates and high infectious pressure. The key feature of this hybrid is its genetic resistance to the most aggressive pathogens: downy mildew, phomopsis, and phoma. Unlike many mid-season varieties, Arcos demonstrates high adaptability, allowing for harvest planning within the 100–110 day window.

Economic Efficiency and Protection Technology

The main market advantage of this hybrid is its full compatibility with the Clearfield (Euro-Lightning) protection system. Using imidazolinone herbicides allows agronomists to effectively control almost all types of weeds and broomrape in the early stages of development. This minimizes competition for moisture and nutrients, which directly translates into final performance metrics:

• Oil Content: stable results of 50–55%, an excellent figure for intensive hybrids.
• Efficiency: the predictable vegetation period simplifies harvesting logistics.
• Adaptability: herbicide resistance reduces the need for multiple field passes with machinery.

Who is this hybrid for?

Arcos is aimed at farms practicing intensive agriculture. It reaches its full potential in fertile soils but remains resilient enough to handle minor agronomic inconsistencies. If your crop rotation suffers from weed pressure and you are looking for a tool to produce stable commercial grain with high oil output, this hybrid will be a reliable component of your production cycle.
