Sunflower microgreens Rolling are delicate, juicy sprouts about 4-5 cm tall with a crunchy texture and a pleasant sweet flavor with nutty notes. This green is rich in fiber, antioxidants, vitamins A, B, C, D, and E, as well as minerals such as magnesium, potassium, calcium, iron, phosphorus, and zinc. Due to its composition, microgreens help strengthen the immune system, improve heart function, normalize metabolism and digestion, and have a rejuvenating effect on cells.
Rolling is grown at home in a compact box measuring 19×11 cm, allowing you to control the harvesting time yourself. The optimal weight of mature greens is around 50 g, but with further growth, it can reach 100 g. It is recommended to harvest microgreens when they are bright green, tender, and juicy, as this is when they contain the highest amount of beneficial substances and have the best flavor. After harvesting, microgreens should be stored in the refrigerator to preserve freshness.
To grow Rolling, you only need a shallow container with coconut substrate, agroperlite, or quality soil. Seeds are pre-soaked in water for 6–12 hours to speed up germination, then evenly distributed over the substrate and lightly pressed down. In the first 2–3 days, sprouts are kept in darkness at a temperature of +18…+24°C and humidity of 60–70%, after which they are placed in light. Watering is done by spraying clean water 1–2 times per day, avoiding overwatering to prevent mold. Harvesting occurs after 7–10 days, cutting the sprouts with scissors at a height of 2–3 cm. Sunflower microgreens Rolling are perfect for adding to salads, smoothies, sandwiches, rolls, hot dishes, and as a healthy snack.
