RHA N 49 Sunflower is a mid-season hybrid intended for oilseed production with a high yield potential exceeding 45-55 c/ha. The plants are characterized by a powerful root system, medium stem thickness, and a height of 160 to 180 cm, which ensures lodging resistance and good leaf coverage. The sunflower head has a convex shape, a diameter of 22-25 cm, is fully filled with black seeds of an elongated shape, and the mass of 1000 seeds is about 60-70 g. Oil content in the seeds reaches 47-50%, which makes this hybrid particularly attractive for oilseed raw material production.
The RHA N 49 hybrid is characterized by high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including fusarium, septoria, powdery mildew and various rust races (cuckoo flower), which ensures crop stability even under unfavorable conditions. In addition, the sunflower is tolerant to herbicides of the sulfonylurea group and is suitable for cultivation using the SUMO® technology (under Granstar), which allows for effective control of broadleaf weeds, including dock, using specialized herbicides.
The hybrid's vegetative period is about 104-108 days, which makes it optimal for cultivation in steppe and forest-steppe zones. The plants have medium growth intensity at the initial stage and high nectar productivity. The recommended plant density before harvesting is 50-60 thousand plants per hectare, depending on the region. All these characteristics make RHA N 49 a reliable and highly effective choice for farmers seeking to obtain a high and quality sunflower crop.
