The PS-115E hybrid, registered in 2025, is a mid-maturing oilseed variety specifically bred for the Forest-Steppe zone of Ukraine. Developed by Podillia-Agrokhimservice, this hybrid combines high yield potential with specific morphological traits that dictate its cultivation strategy.

Cultivation Practices

• Sowing: Planting should commence when soil temperatures reach +10°C to +12°C. Given the plant's height and large leaf surface area, maintaining optimal plant density is crucial to prevent competition and ensure proper development of the large flower heads.
• Soil and Nutrition: PS-115E thrives in fertile chernozem soils. Nitrogen management during the 4–6 leaf stage is essential to support the rapid vegetative growth characteristic of this hybrid.
• Crop Management: The hybrid features a downward-facing head, which is an excellent trait for moisture management, reducing the risk of head rot during the maturation phase. The dense pubescence on the top of the stem provides a natural defense mechanism against environmental stressors.
• Harvesting: The mid-maturing cycle allows for efficient scheduling. The structure of the head and the plant's height facilitate mechanical harvesting with minimal seed loss.
