Rapeseed Demerka

Reliability for Sustainable Farming

Winter rapeseed "Demerka," developed by the Ivano-Frankivsk Institute of Agrarian Production, is a linear variety tailored to the specific climatic conditions of Ukraine. For agronomists prioritizing consistency over high-cost intensive inputs, this variety offers a proven track record of stability.

Field Application and Strategy

This variety is favored by farms focusing on classic crop rotation that require a dependable precursor for winter cereals. "Demerka" excels in its ability to adapt to diverse soil profiles, making it a versatile choice for large-scale operations with varied land conditions.

• Cost-Efficiency: As a linear variety, it allows producers to manage seed costs more effectively compared to F1 hybrids, maintaining productivity across multiple seasons of reproduction.
• Operational Flexibility: The variety responds well to nitrogen fertilization but does not mandate an aggressive chemical protection program, making it an economically viable option for operations looking to optimize input costs.
• Harvest Management: Its predictable maturation window allows for efficient machinery scheduling during the peak harvest season, helping to mitigate losses from seed shattering when managed with standard agronomic practices.

"Demerka" functions as a reliable workhorse for the agricultural sector, capable of enduring harsh winters and showing resilience during unpredictable spring weather, ensuring consistent plant density through to harvest.
