The sunflower hybrid "BOHEM" is a 2025 breeding novelty from RAGT 2n, designed for intensive production in the Forest-Steppe zone. This early-maturing oilseed hybrid was developed to meet modern processing industry requirements for raw material quality.

Technology and marketability

The key feature of "BOHEM" lies in its morphological characteristics, which simplify logistics and primary processing. A large head with a shape convenient for threshing ensures high seed purity during harvest. The medium-height plant with a strong stem shows excellent lodging resistance, which is critical for maintaining the seed's market appearance and minimizing losses during mechanized harvesting.

Raw material quality for processing

As an oilseed crop, "BOHEM" demonstrates stable oil accumulation rates. Due to its early maturity, the seeds manage to form an optimal 1000-seed weight before adverse weather conditions occur, guaranteeing high grain density. This makes the hybrid attractive to oil extraction plants: high oil content combined with low levels of impurities allows for the optimization of cleaning and drying processes, reducing the cost of the final product — sunflower oil.

Storage and logistics

The transportability of the "BOHEM" harvest is ensured by high seed uniformity. The dense structure of the head and high-quality ripening allow for long-term storage with minimal risks of self-heating, provided that standard moisture regimes are maintained. The hybrid is ideal for farms focused on quick sales immediately after harvest or for building strategic reserves in elevators.
