Sunflower PS 757

Genetic Potential and Adaptability of PS 757

The PS 757 sunflower hybrid from Ooo Aktiv Agro is the result of breeding work by Vitaly Grigoryan and Marianna Sharygina. The development of this hybrid focuses on ensuring stable yields in unpredictable climatic conditions through a precise selection of parental lines.

Technical Features

• Plant Architecture: Advanced breeding techniques have enabled an optimal distribution of assimilates. The moderate stalk height provides high resistance to lodging, which is critical for efficient mechanical harvesting.
• Immune System: The breeders focused on genetic resistance to common pathogens, which helps to reduce the frequency of fungicide applications during the growing season.
• Root System: A well-developed root system allows for efficient moisture uptake from deep soil horizons, making PS 757 suitable for cultivation in challenging agricultural zones.

Practical application of PS 757 demonstrates that the hybrid effectively utilizes available water and nutrient resources, converting them into a well-filled head with high-quality oil content. Ooo Aktiv Agro's agronomists emphasized plasticity: the hybrid is capable of adapting to various agronomic backgrounds, maintaining its productivity potential even under moderate mineral nutrition levels.
