Rapeseed Dema

Reliability of Ukrainian Selection

The winter oilseed rape variety "Dema" is the result of long-term work by breeders at the Ivano-Frankivsk Institute of Agro-Industrial Production of NAAS. Within the conditions of Ukrainian farming, this variety has established itself as a reliable choice for producers seeking proven genetic material. Developed with a focus on adapting to the specific climatic conditions of Ukraine, "Dema" serves as a predictable and manageable tool for crop rotation planning.

Phytosanitary Defense

A key characteristic that has defined the market demand for "Dema" is its strong genetic resistance to phoma stem canker (Leptosphaeria maculans). In conditions of high infection pressure, which is common in many agricultural regions, this variety acts as a crucial barrier. Its ability to withstand the pathogen allows farmers to minimize fungicide application costs, thereby optimizing the total cost of production per ton.

Practical Application

"Dema" is a variety designed for classic winter oilseed rape cultivation technologies. Its physiological characteristics allow for effective planning of agrotechnical measures, including seeding dates and fertilization programs. The variety shows stable productivity indicators across various soil types, ensuring uniform plant development and excellent preparation for successful overwintering.
