The «ALFEO SU» hybrid from the Italian company APSOVSEMENTI S.P.A. is a 2025 release designed specifically for the SU (Express/Sumo) cultivation technology. In the Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones of Ukraine, this sunflower demonstrates the stability typical of European breeding, adapted to intensive crop protection programs.

Development and morphological traits

Unlike many mid-early hybrids, «ALFEO SU» features a robust vegetative structure. Large leaves with moderate blistering and well-developed auricles ensure efficient photosynthesis, which is critical for head filling under variable moisture conditions. The tall plant, characterized by strong stem tip pubescence, shows excellent lodging resistance. The downward-facing head provides natural protection against moisture accumulation and bird damage.
