Sunflower Pomar RM — a new hybrid developed by LLC "AF NPP AGROMIR" and submitted for state testing in 2024. This mid-early hybrid is distinguished by high drought, lodging, and shattering resistance, ensuring stable yield even under adverse climatic conditions. Plant height reaches 170–175 cm, and oil content in seeds is approximately 52%, making Pomar RM attractive for oilseed production.
The hybrid exhibits high resistance to diseases, including gray and white mold of the head, scoring 9 out of 10, and is also resistant to herbicides containing tribenuron-methyl (SUMO technology), facilitating weed control. In the forest-steppe zone during the extremely dry 2024 season, average yield reached 37.5 c/ha, with potential yield reaching 47 c/ha. Recommended plant density at harvest varies from 50 to 65 thousand per hectare depending on the growing zone.
Pomar RM is suitable for cultivation in various agroclimatic zones of Ukraine due to its stress resistance and adaptability. High yield and seed quality make this hybrid a profitable choice for farmers seeking a stable and high-quality sunflower crop with high oil content.
