KAZACHY

The Kazachy sunflower variety represents a high-oil, early-maturing hybrid with a vegetative period from germination to biological maturity of 75-80 days and harvesting maturity of 85-95 days. Plants of a semi-dwarf type reach a height of 120-165 cm, possess a strong and lodging-resistant stem, ensuring reliability during growth and harvesting. Heads have a correct average shape with a diameter of 18-23 cm, dry quickly on the stalk, which allows harvesting without the need for desiccation. Seeds are dark with light striping on the sides, 1000-seed mass is 80-95 grams, hullability is within 21-23%, and oil content reaches 48-52%.

The Kazachy variety differs in high resistance to a complex of diseases and pests, including downy mildew (race A-D), powdery mildew, verticillium, alternaria, rust, and sunflower moth. Moreover, it is tolerant to drought, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions, especially in the Northern Caucasus, Middle and Lower Volga regions, as well as the Urals. Thanks to synchronous flowering and ripening, as well as adaptation to combine harvesting, the variety ensures a stable yield at the level of 2.9-3.4 t/ha (22-30 c/ha).

Kazachy is recommended for insurance sowings and cultivation in the Volgograd region and other regions with similar conditions. Its early maturity allows starting sunflower harvesting significantly earlier, even without applying desiccation, which creates favorable conditions for preparing fields for winter crop sowing. The direction of use for the variety is linoleic oil, which makes it in demand for producing high-quality vegetable oil.
