P64LE119 — a mid-early sunflower hybrid under the Pioneer® brand, belonging to the glyphosate-resistant linoleic hybrid group with a vegetative period of 109 to 115 days and relative maturity RM45. This hybrid is intended for cultivation using the ExpressSun® technology and is recommended for planting in the Polissia, steppe, and forest-steppe regions of Ukraine. It demonstrates high adaptability to various soil-climate conditions, particularly in steppe and eastern forest-steppe zones, but is not recommended for cultivation in mountainous areas such as Crimea and the Carpathians. Optimal plant population depends on soil moisture and ranges from 45 to 55 thousand plants per hectare.

The hybrid exhibits high drought and lodging resistance, ensuring stable yield under challenging climatic conditions. P64LE119 has a high oil content in seeds — approximately 49%, and also contains 14.5% protein. The 1000-seed mass varies from 60 to 80 grams. The hybrid’s yield potential reaches 50 centners per hectare, confirmed by test results in various Ukrainian farms, where yields ranged from 30.3 to 52.0 centners per hectare at 7% moisture.

The hybrid shows high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including verticillium, stem and head rot, false powdery mildew, and is also low-susceptible to Phomopsis and stem sclerotinia. Additionally, P64LE119 is highly tolerant to parasitic weeds, effectively resisting seven major races of downy mildew (A–G). To achieve maximum productivity, early planting and overly wet conditions should be avoided.
