Sunflower P 62 LE 122 is an early-maturing hybrid of linoleic type developed by PIONEER OVERSEAS CORPORATION. This hybrid has a vegetation period of 110–115 days and belongs to the early-maturing group. Plants reach a height of about 150 cm, which contributes to high resistance to lodging and provides convenient harvesting conditions. P 62 LE 122 is distinguished by high oil content in seeds, with oil content reaching approximately 50%, making it attractive for oil production. The hybrid has high yield, amounting to 45–48 centners per hectare, and demonstrates excellent adaptability to various soil-climatic conditions, especially in the forest-steppe and steppe regions of Ukraine. It is drought-resistant, as confirmed by a high level of resistance (9 points), and tolerates diseases and pests well. Among the main diseases to which it shows resistance are false powdery mildew, basket rot, fusarium and fusarium, as well as various strains (A–E) of rust. Sunflower P 62 LE 122 is not patented and belongs to the category of simple hybrids. It is recommended for cultivation in the Central Chernozem region and other areas with similar conditions. Due to its characteristics such as high resistance to diseases, drought, and lodging, as well as high oil content and yield, this hybrid is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to obtain high-quality and stable sunflower yields.
