Sunflower NS H 558 is a simple hybrid with high yield potential, reaching up to 55 centners per hectare. The plant is characterized by a height of 160 to 180 cm and a vegetation period of 103 to 109 days. The sunflower head is flat and thin, with a diameter of about 22 cm, which facilitates harvesting. The oil content of the seeds varies within the range of 47-50%, ensuring high oil content in the product.
The NS H 558 hybrid is resistant to sulfonylurea herbicides, particularly to the active ingredient tribenuron methyl, as well as to the herbicide Express, thanks to the Sumo technology, which effectively controls a broad spectrum of broadleaf weeds, including perennial sow thistle. Additionally, the plant is resistant to downy mildew (Peronospora) at level 5 across races A, B, C, D, E, as well as to diseases such as white mold, common clubroot, and gray mold. The hybrid also demonstrates good drought tolerance.
NS H 558 is recommended for cultivation in southern (excluding extremely dry), eastern, and central regions. Sunflower seeds have a 1000-seed weight of 60 to 70 grams, indicating good quality seed material. This hybrid is suitable for producing high-quality oil and ensures stable yields with proper agronomic practices.
