Mirage

The Mirage sunflower variety belongs to the group of early-maturing and high-yielding crops, with a growing season ranging from 80 to 90 days depending on the growing region. Plants reach a height of 120 to 140 cm, have a sturdy stem resistant to lodging, ensuring reliability during mechanized harvest. The head diameter varies within 15-25 cm, which contributes to high oil content in seeds, reaching 49-52%.

Mirage is distinguished by high productivity, with a potential yield of up to 40 c/ha and actual figures ranging from 25.2-45.6 c/ha depending on weather conditions and agronomy. The variety is characterized by a low hulling percentage (21-23%) and a 1000-seed weight of 80 to 95 g, making it attractive for industrial oil production. The optimal plant population density before harvest is 40-42 thousand pcs/ha in steppe conditions and 45-50 thousand pcs/ha in forest-steppe.

Special attention is paid to the variety's resistance to diseases and stress factors. Mirage is genetically resistant to downy mildew, paspalum, and verticillium, and is also tolerant to drought and not damaged by sunflower firefly. These qualities ensure yield stability and allow the use of the variety in various agro-climatic zones, including cereal stubble sowing. Thanks to its characteristics, the Mirage variety is well adapted to modern cultivation technologies and combine harvesting.
