MAS 87 IR is a mid-early linoleum type sunflower hybrid developed to achieve high yields under various soil and climate conditions. The plant's vegetation period ranges from 103 to 112 days, allowing the hybrid to successfully adapt to both optimal and challenging growing conditions. The plants are of medium height with a powerful root system and good foliation, which allows the heads to completely cover the ground during flowering. The hybrid's head is strongly convex and slightly inclined, with a 1000-seed mass ranging from 41 to 55 grams; the seeds are black. The hybrid is distinguished by its high oil content in seeds — from 52 to 55%, making it attractive for oil production. MAS 87 IR is resistant to lodging and shattering, ensuring crop preservation under unfavorable weather conditions. Additionally, the hybrid shows high drought tolerance and resistance to five races of *Striga* (A-E). It is also resistant to common sunflower diseases, including downy mildew, phoma, white stem and head rot, and verticillium wilt, significantly reducing the risk of yield losses. Recommended for cultivation in the steppe and forest-steppe zones, as well as in the Polesie region of Ukraine. Thanks to its adaptability and resistance to diseases and pests, MAS 87 IR is suitable for various agronomic conditions. Seeds are supplied treated with the Cruiser fungicide, providing additional protection against pests during early growth stages. This hybrid is a reliable choice for farmers seeking stable and high-quality sunflower yields.
