Sunflower SU RF 49

SU RF 49 — high-oleic sunflower hybrid designed for Express™ technology. It belongs to the mid-season group with a vegetation period of 107–112 days, enabling full maturity harvest within 110–112 days. The hybrid exhibits moderate-intensity growth and is adapted to cultivation under various climatic conditions, including steppes, forest-steppes, and the Polissia region. High early growth energy contributes to rapid plant establishment and effective development during vulnerable stages, ensuring stable yields even under adverse conditions. SU RF 49 features high oil content in seeds — 49–51%, with oleic acid levels reaching 88–89%, making it especially valuable for producing high-quality oil. Plants have strong stems and well-developed root systems, with mature plant height around 167–172 cm and head size of 22–24 cm with a semi-tilted shape. The hybrid is resistant to lodging and shattering, facilitating harvest and reducing yield losses. It demonstrates high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including seven-seed downy mildew, Phomopsis, head and stem sclerotinia, rust, and false powdery mildew. Due to these traits, SU RF 49 shows high comprehensive tolerance to diseases and stress factors such as drought and excessive sunlight. This makes it a reliable choice for cultivation under moderate-intensity and stressful conditions, ensuring stable and high-quality yields.
