Sunflower APS85 is a high-yielding mid-early hybrid of linoleic type, designed for cultivation under the herbicide Granstar. The vegetative period is 105-110 days, ensuring timely maturity and high yield up to 49-51 centners per hectare. Plants are tall with convex flower heads, seed mass per 1000 seeds ranges from 52 to 58 grams, and oil content reaches 48-53%, making this hybrid attractive for high-quality oil production.
Hybrid APS85 shows high adaptability to various soil-climatic conditions, including the Polissya, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe zones of Ukraine. It demonstrates good drought and lodging resistance, contributing to stable yield formation even under adverse conditions. Additionally, APS85 is tolerant to common sunflower diseases such as false powdery mildew, sclerotinia, fomopsis, and rust, significantly reducing the risk of yield losses.
To enhance cultivation efficiency, it is recommended to use seed protection technologies, including treatment with AGROSTART and PONCHO D150, and to follow the recommended planting density of 55-60 thousand plants per hectare. The hybrid is well-suited for integrated weed, pest, and disease management systems, ensuring high productivity and product quality with minimal agronomic input.
