Maksimus

Maximus M94S35 — a mid-season sunflower hybrid developed by the Turkish company MAY Seed. This hybrid is distinguished by its high potential yield and stability under various growing conditions, including stressful ones. It is adapted for cultivation on different types of arable soils and can successfully grow even on sites with high weed infestation. Maximus has a strong stem and a well-developed root system, reducing the tendency to lodging and providing resistance to sharp temperature fluctuations in spring, as well as to high solar activity and water deficiency in summer. The hybrid demonstrates high tolerance to ragweed in all seven races (A–G) and resistance to pathogens causing false powdery mildew and other sunflower diseases. It is suitable for application of herbicides of the Express type with the active ingredient tribenuron-methyl, which simplifies weed control. The vegetation period is 105–110 days, with medium-height plants, allowing the hybrid to successfully adapt to various agroclimatic zones and ensure a stable yield. Seeds of the Maximus hybrid are characterized by high oil content, reaching up to 54% under favorable conditions, with a minimum oil content of 49%. This makes the hybrid especially valuable for oilseed applications. Due to its characteristics, Maximus is a reliable choice for agroindustrial enterprises aiming to obtain high-quality and stable sunflower yields under various climatic and soil conditions.
