Sunflower M 98 SL 88

M 98 SL 88 is a mid-late maturing sunflower hybrid, adapted for the Clearfield system and resistant to imidazolinone herbicides. The vegetative period is approximately 130 days, allowing the hybrid to thrive under various climatic conditions. Seeds have a 1000-seed mass of about 61.2 grams and contain a high oil content — from 48% to 52% — ensuring significant oil yield of up to 8.9 centners per hectare. The hybrid is distinguished by high productivity, with an average regional yield of 27.6 centners per hectare and a maximum of 39.8 centners per hectare. One of the key features of M 98 SL 88 is its high resistance to harmful factors, including dry and gray mold, as well as moderate resistance to rust. Additionally, the hybrid exhibits resistance to eight races of parasitic weed, dodder (A-N), significantly reducing the risk of yield loss. It is also resistant to wilt and shows adaptability to various soil types, making it suitable for cultivation across diverse agricultural areas. The M 98 SL 88 hybrid is widely used in agriculture for oil and other product production. The recommended planting rate is 50,000–52,000 plants per hectare, promoting optimal growth and maximum yield. Due to its drought tolerance and adaptability to various conditions, this sunflower demonstrates consistent performance across different regions, confirmed by successful cultivation experiences in various areas.
