Oscar Sunflower — this is an early-maturing, high-oleic hybrid of Serbian selection, developed for classical cultivation technology with the herbicide Granstar. The hybrid is characterized by high resistance to 7+ races of downy mildew (A-G++), drought, as well as main diseases such as phomopsis and rust. Thanks to its strong stem and resistance to lodging, it is suitable for cultivation under various climatic conditions, including Ukraine.
The yield potential of Oscar sunflower reaches 5 tons per hectare, with seed oil content of 49-51%. When cultivation technology is followed, oleic acid content in the crop reaches 90%, making this hybrid especially valuable for producing high-quality oil. Seeds are treated with a complex of three fungicides, microfertilizers, and a plant growth regulator stimulating seedling emergence at early development stages.
The cultivation technology for the Oscar hybrid includes seed treatment with fungicides fludioxonil and metalaxyl-M, as well as additional nutrition with macro- and microelements using the EUROSTO Premium complex. All these features ensure stable yields, high seed quality, and adaptability to various cultivation conditions.
