LGR 64 is a high-quality sunflower hybrid designed for cultivation under Granstar technology. It belongs to medium-early varieties with a vegetative period of 111 to 120 days, allowing for effective use in various climatic zones, including the Polesse, Forest-Steppe, and Northern Steppe of Ukraine. The hybrid is distinguished by a powerful root system, ensuring resistance to root lodging and high drought tolerance, which contributes to stable yield formation even under complex weather conditions.
One of the key features of LGR 64 is high resistance to diseases, including new races of downy mildew and the 'System-2' infection, as well as a wide range of parasite powdery mildew races (A-E). This significantly reduces the risk of yield loss and increases cultivation reliability. The hybrid is also characterized by a high level of self-pollination and excellent moisture resistance, which further improves its adaptive qualities.
LGR 64 belongs to the high-oleic type of sunflower, which ensures high oleic acid and oil content in seeds – up to 50%. The yield potential of the hybrid reaches 47 c/ha (5.5 t/ha), and the mass of 1000 seeds is about 65 g. Plant height reaches 180 cm, which promotes good development and seed formation with high oil content. Thanks to these characteristics, LGR 64 is an attractive choice for producers oriented towards obtaining high-quality and stable sunflower yields.
