Sunflower LGR 53732

Early maturity and Clearfield reliability

The Soltis LGR 53732 hybrid is a strategic choice for growers looking to manage risks in their sunflower production. Designed for the Clearfield (Euro-Lightning) production system, this simple hybrid provides farmers with a powerful tool for post-emergence weed control and broomrape management.

Agronomic potential and durability

The defining trait of the LGR 53732 is its short vegetation period (90–100 days). This early maturity makes it an excellent option for late-season planting or for fields where an early harvest is required to prepare the ground for winter crops. With a plant height of 150–160 cm and a medium-sized head, the crop is well-suited for efficient mechanical harvesting, minimizing seed loss.

The manufacturer has prioritized phytosanitary security. The hybrid shows high tolerance to several key fungal diseases:

• White and Grey rot — critical pathogens during high-humidity seasons;
• Phomopsis and Phoma — major threats that limit yields in intensive cultivation zones.

Who is this hybrid for?

LGR 53732 is ideal for regions with inconsistent moisture, where escaping the intense heat of August is key to maintaining yield stability. Because it is tolerant to the imidazolinone class of herbicides, this sunflower allows for the effective cleaning of fields infested with problematic weeds that standard soil-applied herbicides cannot control. If your field is heavily infested or your planting window has been compressed, this hybrid offers a balanced solution for predictable performance.
