Sunflower Caliber II is a high-oil hybrid developed by the American company Nuseed using Clearfield technology, which provides effective control of all volunteer weeds in fields. This hybrid belongs to early linoleic-type varieties with a vegetation period ranging from 98 to 105 days. Caliber II seeds are distinguished by high oil content — from 47 to 50%, with oil rich in oleic acid, which enhances its quality and value for processing.

Caliber II hybrid is characterized by high yield potential up to 52 centners per hectare. Plants demonstrate good early development, forming a strong stem resistant to lodging, and medium-sized, slightly lobed leaves. Plant height varies from 155 to 170 cm depending on soil moisture and nutrient levels. The medium-sized head is well-filled with seeds, and during flowering, the hybrid is actively visited by beneficial insects, especially honeybees, which contributes to better pollination and yield formation.

Caliber II has good drought resistance and disease resistance, enabling cultivation under various climatic conditions, including forest-steppe and steppe zones. To achieve maximum productivity, recommended planting density during the pre-harvest period should be 50–60 thousand plants per hectare.
