Rapeseed LG AVENGER

Yield consistency in challenging conditions

When planning a winter oilseed rape campaign, the biggest headaches are winter hardiness and the inevitable disease pressure that can decimate a crop before harvest. LG Avenger from Limagrain is a solution that simplifies phytosanitary management. Thanks to its French breeding pedigree, this hybrid offers excellent adaptability across various soil types, allowing for a more straightforward approach to field maintenance.

Disease resistance as a standard

In the field, LG Avenger stands out for its robust health profile. During wet seasons, when adjacent fields fall victim to Verticillium, Sclerotinia, or Cylindrosporium, this hybrid remains consistently reliable. Its resistance to Phoma is a highlight, as this disease is often the primary culprit behind lodging. For an operator, this means fewer emergency fungicide applications and a predictable treatment schedule, which keeps operational costs in check.

Harvest performance

The potential yield of 50–60 c/ha is not just a catalogue figure but a realistic target under intensive management. The hybrid is responsive to fertilization yet doesn't panic when weather conditions are suboptimal. At harvest time, LG Avenger shows minimal losses; the pods are structurally strong, and pod shatter resistance is excellent. This provides a flexible harvest window, giving the team enough time to complete operations even if the weather turns difficult. It is a workhorse that rewards good management with solid, consistent returns.
