Sunflower Grand Maestro

Stability and Protection: The «Grand Maestro» Advantage

In the market of sunflower hybrids of Ukrainian selection, «Grand Maestro» from the brand «Сонячний настрій» occupies a niche for farmers focused on predictable results under intensive farming conditions. Developed by Ukrainian breeders, this hybrid addresses the market's demand for efficiency, where crop protection requires a systematic approach and reliable herbicide use.

Technological Potential and Resistance

The key advantage of this hybrid is its full compatibility with the Clearfield (Euro-Lightning) technology. The ability to utilize this protection system allows farmers to effectively control weeds, including problematic broomrape species and volunteer crops, without stressing the plant. The genetic profile of «Grand Maestro» is focused on neutralizing diseases that typically diminish yields:

• Full defense block against Phomopsis and Phoma;
• High tolerance to complex rots (white and gray);
• Strong resistance to downy mildew (Peronospora).

These features make it an attractive choice for regions with high infectious pressure.

Maturation and Quality Indicators

With a vegetation period of 100–110 days, this hybrid belongs to the medium-early maturity group. This allows for optimized harvest logistics and crop rotation, freeing up fields for the timely sowing of winter crops. The seeds are characterized by a large size, which is a crucial factor for head filling and achieving high thousand-seed weight. The combination of strong yield potential and herbicide tolerance makes «Grand Maestro» a reliable tool for those committed to intensive sunflower cultivation in modern agricultural settings.
