Sunflower ATAMAN PLATOV

Ataman Platov is a mid-season sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) hybrid intended for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including the North Caucasus, Middle Volga, and Ural. The vegetative period of the hybrid varies from 101 to 112 days depending on the region, allowing it to adapt to different climatic conditions. The weight of 1000 seeds ranges from 48.5 to 60 grams, indicating large seed size and high yield potential.

The hybrid is distinguished by high oil content in seeds — from 49 to 51% — ensuring a significant oil yield of 8.2–10.9 centners per hectare. The average yield of Ataman Platov ranges from 11.2 to 27.4 centners per hectare depending on the cultivation region, making it a profitable choice for farmers focused on oilseed production.

Due to its characteristics, Ataman Platov is recommended for cultivation in the Krasnodar Krai and the Republic of Mordovia, and is successfully grown in other regions with suitable climatic conditions. This hybrid combines high productivity with high seed quality, making it attractive for agricultural production and processing.
