Kharkivskiy 7 sunflower is a high-yielding hybrid intended for cultivation in the steppe and forest-steppe zones of Ukraine. This medium-maturing variety with a vegetation period of approximately 110-114 days is distinguished by resistance to ragweed, achieved through the plant's genetic traits. This resistance significantly reduces damage from the parasitic plant and ensures stable yields even under adverse conditions.
Kharkivskiy 7 hybrid exhibits high productivity, reaching yields from 39.7 to 58 centners per hectare under various conditions. Plants grow to a height of 170-190 cm, and the flower head diameter is approximately 23 cm. Seeds are characterized by high germination energy (98%) and a 1000-seed mass of about 60 g. An important feature is the high oil content — oil content in seeds ranges from 51.7% to 53%, making this hybrid attractive for oil production.
For cultivating Kharkivskiy 7, the EuroLightning technology is recommended, which allows effective weed control and enhances crop productivity. Seeds are supplied in bags prepared for sowing, simplifying agronomic operations. The hybrid is resistant to major ragweed races (up to 6 races, designated as A-F), further enhancing its reliability and economic efficiency for agricultural producers.
