HA 26 IMI sunflower is a hybrid of Serbian selection, developed by the Institute of Novi Sad in Serbia. This variety is intended for intensive cultivation, as it can effectively assimilate a large amount of stimulants and fertilizers, which contributes to achieving high yields. Plants have strong stems, resistant to lodging, and a powerful branched root system capable of extracting moisture from a depth of more than two meters. The potential yield of the hybrid reaches 55 centners per hectare, and the oil content in seeds ranges from 48 to 50 percent.
Plant height varies from 170 to 190 centimeters, and the head diameter is 22-26 centimeters. The hybrid is resistant to five races of nematode, as well as such diseases as rust and sunflower moth. Thanks to its increased dryness resistance and stress resistance, HA 26 IMI is well adapted to the climatic conditions of Ukraine and is suitable for sowing both in early and medium terms.
For successful cultivation, it is recommended to use the herbicide Eurolighting to combat weeds, which contributes to improving conditions for plant growth and development. The choice of this hybrid is due to its high oil content, resistance to pests and diseases, as well as the ability to obtain stable and high yields with proper agrotechnology.
