Sunflower NS Oro is a high-yielding hybrid from Serbian breeding, registered in Ukraine's state registry in 2012. It has a medium-early vegetation period of 104–110 days and plant height up to 180 cm. The seeds have high oil content, reaching 49–51%, and the average thousand-seed weight exceeds 63 grams. The hybrid is available in two fractions — standard and extra — allowing adaptation to different technological requirements. Seeds are treated with a fungicide and grown using traditional technology with soil herbicides.
NS Oro exhibits high resistance to stress factors, including drought, cold, and major sunflower diseases such as septoria, rust, and sunflower moth. The hybrid is resistant to five races of downy mildew, significantly reducing the risk of yield loss. The root system can extract moisture from soil depths up to 3 meters, ensuring stable growth even under insufficient moisture conditions.
The recommended seeding density at harvest is 50–55 thousand plants per hectare. NS Oro is suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe. The potential yield of the hybrid reaches 5.5 tons per hectare, although actual results may vary depending on region and cultivation technology. Manufacturer — EuroSem, seed quality meets European standards.
