NS H 8001

Sunflower NS H 8001 — an early-maturing Serbian hybrid with a vegetation period of 104-106 days, developed using SUMO technology. This hybrid is characterized by high yield, reaching up to 5.5 tons per hectare, and is intended for cultivation in forest-steppe and steppe zones of Ukraine. Plants have an average height of 170-180 cm, average stem thickness, and a well-developed root system, providing resistance to drought and major diseases.

Hybrid NS H 8001 exhibits high resistance to all races of downy mildew (A-G), as well as to pathogens such as powdery mildew, rust, formopsis, alternaria, and sunflower moth. SUMO technology ensures resistance to the herbicide Express (Granstar), enabling effective control of a broad spectrum of broadleaf weeds, including perennial sow-thistle. The genetic yield potential is 50-55 centners per hectare, oil content in seeds ranges from 49-51%, and protein content is 22-24% at threshing.

Recommended seeding density varies by region: 55-60 thousand plants per hectare for forest-steppe, 50-55 thousand for central steppe, and 45-50 thousand for southern and dry steppe zones. Due to its characteristics and resistance, hybrid NS H 8001 is widely used in agriculture for producing high-quality oils and food products.
