Frankasol

Sunflower Frankasol is a mid-early oilseed hybrid specifically developed for cultivation in dry regions such as the Forest Steppe and Steppe of Ukraine. The vegetation period is approximately 110 days, ensuring timely maturity and high productivity. The hybrid exhibits high drought and stress tolerance, making it a reliable choice for areas with insufficient moisture. Frankasol is adapted to the herbicide Granstar (based on tribenuron-methyl) cultivation technology, enabling effective weed control without harming the crop.

The Frankasol hybrid has a high yield potential, reaching up to 5.5 tons per hectare, equivalent to 50-55 centners per hectare. Plants grow to a height of about 170 cm, with flower heads measuring 22-24 cm in diameter, promoting the formation of large and high-quality seeds. Seeds contain 48% to 51% oil, making this sunflower attractive to the oilseed industry. Frankasol belongs to the linoleic type of hybrids and demonstrates resistance to various races of flax rust (volchka) from A to G, significantly reducing the risk of crop losses.

Frankasol cultivation technology employs a moderately extensive approach with a recommended seeding rate that varies depending on soil moisture levels: 55-60 thousand seeds per hectare under insufficient moisture, and 60-65 thousand under adequate moisture. Seeds are packaged in 150,000-seed units. The hybrid originates from Spain and is further developed by leading European seed companies, ensuring high quality and compliance with modern agronomic requirements. Excellent early growth and high herbicide tolerance make Frankasol a profitable and reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve a stable and high sunflower yield.
