AS Omega

AS Omega — a high-yielding, mid-early sunflower hybrid with a vegetation period of 113–118 days, intended for cultivation in steppe and forest-steppe zones. Plants reach a height of about 170 cm, and the flower head diameter is approximately 24 cm with a tilt of about 45 degrees. The hybrid is characterized by high oil content, reaching 50–52%, ensuring high oil production efficiency.

The hybrid exhibits high resistance to adverse conditions, including drought and heat, making it particularly valuable for regions with insufficient moisture. It demonstrates resistance to new strains of powdery mildew, downy mildew (Phytophthora), up to 7 strains, as well as root lodging, Fomopsis, and white mold. Thanks to these traits, AS Omega maintains stable yield even under stress conditions. Recommended planting density varies depending on moisture: 50–55 thousand plants per hectare under insufficient moisture and 55–60 thousand under sufficient moisture.

AS Omega is cultivated using the Granstar herbicide technology with a maximum application rate of 50 g/ha, ensuring effective weed control. The hybrid is characterized by high seedling uniformity and simultaneous maturity, facilitating harvest and improving crop quality. Yield potential reaches 5.5 t/ha, making AS Omega an attractive choice for farmers seeking high productivity and crop resilience.
