Sunflower Fantasol

Efficiency in the field: why choose "Fantasol"

For farmers managing fields with high weed pressure, "Fantasol" by Monsanto is a reliable tool to regain control. This simple sunflower hybrid is designed for those who refuse to lose yield to invasive weeds and rely on the proven Euro-Lightning protection system. Its main advantage is outcome predictability in intensive farming environments.

Technological profile

• Vegetation period: 110–120 days. This allows for flexible harvesting schedules, avoiding the crunch during peak season.
• Oil content: 45–50%. A stable metric, which is critical when delivering grain to elevators with strict quality standards.
• Morphology: 170–180 cm in height with a medium-sized, flattened head. This habit ensures uniform ripening and simplifies mechanical harvesting, reducing grain loss.

Practical application on the farm

The primary task of this hybrid is performance on fields where traditional methods struggle to suppress broomrape and a wide spectrum of weeds. Thanks to its resistance to imidazoline herbicides (Euro-Lightning), "Fantasol" enables high-quality chemical weeding during the vegetation phase without depressing the crop itself. This turns a "problematic" field into a clean plot producing high-quality, oil-rich commercial grain.

In commercial operations, "Fantasol" is valued for its indifference to complex agro-backgrounds and its ability to adapt to average climatic conditions. It is not a variety that requires risky experimentation—it is a workhorse for achieving consistent production volume within standard crop rotation cycles.
