Sunflower Europa CLP is a medium-height linoleic-type hybrid with early maturity, having a vegetation period of 104-110 days from germination to harvest maturity. Plants reach a height of 160-170 cm and form a convex, semi-weeping head with a diameter of 22-24 cm. The 1000-seed mass is approximately 48 g, and the oil content in the seeds reaches 48-50%, ensuring a high oil yield per hectare — on average 24 c/ha. The hybrid is characterized by high growth energy in the early stages of vegetation and plasticity to sowing dates, allowing successful cultivation across the entire territory of Ukraine.
Europa CLP demonstrates high resistance to various adverse weather conditions, including significant droughts, as well as resistance to diseases such as fomoz, neck and head sclerotinia, verticillium wilt, and false powdery mildew with protection against 4 races. Additionally, the hybrid is resistant to the pest 'wolf' (vole), enabling its cultivation even on fields infested by this pest. Thanks to these qualities, Europa CLP shows stable and high yields on all soil types, especially on fertilized soils.
The hybrid Europa CLP belongs to the intensive type and is recommended for cultivation under various climatic conditions, including zones with insufficient and sufficient moisture. The recommended planting density varies from 55-60 thousand plants per hectare in zones with insufficient moisture to 60-65 thousand plants per hectare in more humid regions. This sunflower is suitable for crop rotation and has low maintenance requirements, making it a profitable choice for agronomists aiming to achieve high yields and quality oil.
