Estrella KS is an ultra-early inter-line sunflower hybrid, characterized by a short vegetation period of 95 to 105 days. It was developed using French breeding technology and is intended for traditional cultivation methods. The hybrid is characterized by high resistance to major sunflower diseases, as well as protection against helminthosporium, which ensures stability and high yield levels even in complex agro-climatic conditions. Seeds have an Extra fraction and are supplied in sowing units of 150,000 pieces.
The plant has an average green leaf with a serrated shape and a concave transverse section, as well as strong pubescence on the upper part of the stem. Flowering occurs at medium terms, florets are ligulate and tubular, yellow in color. The head is of medium size, and when ripe, it stands vertically. Seeds are round in shape, primarily black in color without mottling, with gray stripes. Oil content in seeds reaches 54.2%, making the hybrid oil-rich and attractive for oil production.
The Estrella KS hybrid has medium drought resistance, rated at 8 points, which allows for successful cultivation in various regions with different climatic conditions. Due to its characteristics, it is suitable for cultivation in traditional agricultural technologies and ensures high yield, reaching 25.1 c/ha. This makes Estrella KS a profitable choice for agrarians seeking to obtain a high-quality and stable sunflower crop.
