FS 71801 — an ultra-early sunflower hybrid, characterized by high drought and heat tolerance, enabling successful cultivation under various climatic conditions, including steppe, forest-steppe, and meadow regions. This hybrid exhibits rapid early vegetative growth, facilitating good adaptation to extensive cultivation conditions. Flowering time ranges from early to medium, and the maturation period is 90-95 days, allowing for a harvest in a short time.
The plant has medium height, no branching, and a half-downward-facing flower head with a curved stem and medium size. Leaves are medium-sized, green, with moderate serration and weak blistering. Seeds are broad-oval in shape, medium-sized, with primary black coloration and weak gray stripes. Flowers are yellow, tongue-shaped, tubular, and lack anthocyanin staining on the stigma.
The hybrid has a high yield potential up to 5.4 t/ha (54 c/ha) and oil content of 50-53%.
