CODIZOLE is a mid-early simple sunflower hybrid (Helianthus annuus L.) intended for cultivation in the North Caucasus region. The plant is characterized by medium height and lack of branching, which contributes to compactness and ease of agronomy. Leaves are of medium size, green in color with moderate blistering and dentation, as well as the presence of side wing-like segments. Ray flowers are yellow and oval, tubular flowers are also yellow, while anthocyanin discoloration of the style is absent or very weakly expressed. The head is of medium size, turned downwards, with an S-shaped shape on the seed side. The seeds are of medium size, narrowly ovoid shape, thick, with a basic black coloration and gray marginal stripes. The CODIZOLE hybrid is distinguished by high resistance to diseases and lodging, as well as resistance to herbicides based on imidazoline, which facilitates crop protection and increases the effectiveness of agronomic activities. Average seed yield in the region is about 21.1 centners per hectare, while on individual experimental plots the yield reached 38.9 centners per hectare. Fat content in seeds is at the level of 48.2%, which ensures high oil yield - about 8.6 centners per hectare, which makes this hybrid attractive for the oilseed industry. The hybrid is produced by the company CAUSSADE SEMENCES SA. CODIZOLE has been included in the state register since 2012 and is recommended for cultivation in the North Caucasus region. Thanks to its agronomic characteristics and stable productivity, this sunflower hybrid is a reliable choice for farmers seeking to obtain a high-quality harvest with good oil content and resistance to adverse factors.
