This variety is characterized by high resistance to major sunflower diseases and protection against downy mildew, ensuring reliable and stable yields. The plant is medium in height, non-branching, with strong pubescence on the upper part of the stem. Leaves are green, medium-sized, with moderate serration and absence or weak lobing. Flowers are ligulate and tubular, yellow, with medium-sized heads positioned vertically at maturity. Sunflower seeds of Estrella CS have a round shape, black color with gray stripes arranged marginally and laterally. Seed thickness is medium, extra fraction. Oil content in seeds reaches 54.2%, making this hybrid high-oil. Yield of the variety in the Central Black Earth region averages 25.1 centners/ha, with maximum yields up to 36.6 centners/ha. The hybrid has moderate drought resistance, rated at 8 points, allowing cultivation in various climatic conditions, including regions of Ukraine such as Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Kirovohrad, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, and Chernihiv regions. The cultivation technology for Estrella CS is traditional, facilitating the integration of the hybrid into existing agronomic schemes.
