The DAYA sunflower hybrid is a mid-early variety with high drought resistance and good adaptation to various agro-climatic conditions. It is characterized by an intensive growth type, average plant height of 160 to 180 cm, and a large head with a slight inclination that dries out quickly at maturity. Leaves are green, and ray florets are yellow. Seeds are large, black in color with distinct marginal stripes; the mass of 1000 seeds is approximately 51.8 g.
The DAYA hybrid has a high oil content in seeds, reaching an average of 43.7% and up to 50-52% according to the originator. The yield potential under intensive technology exceeds 40 c/ha, while the average yield in the Central Black Earth region is about 27.3 c/ha. Oil collection reaches 10.7 c/ha, making this hybrid attractive for oilseed crop production. Furthermore, DAYA is resistant to the herbicide EURO-LIGHTNING®PLUS in the Clearfield®Plus system, facilitating weed control.
The hybrid is successfully grown in various regions, including the North Caucasus, Central Black Earth, Lower Volga, Middle Volga, and Ural regions, and also shows stable results in the Krasnodar Krai conditions. It is suitable for minimum and zero tillage technologies, expanding its application possibilities in modern agrotechnologies. High ecological plasticity and yield stability make DAYA a profitable choice for agricultural producers seeking efficient and sustainable sunflower cultivation.
