Sunflower EPSILON

Sunflower Epsilon is a medium-late hybrid developed by the JSC 'Galaktika' and included in the State Register of the Russian Federation. It belongs to simple intensive hybrids with a vegetation period of 105-110 days. Plants reach an average height of 180-185 cm and exhibit high resistance to lodging, ensuring stable yields. The flower head diameter is 22-24 cm, with a convex shape and semi-leaning position, which promotes optimal seed development and ease of harvest.

The Epsilon hybrid is characterized by high yield potential, up to 51 centners per hectare, with an average yield of about 31 centners per hectare in the Central Chernozem region. The 1000-seed mass is approximately 57.8 g, and the oil content in the seeds reaches 50%, making this sunflower attractive for oil production. Epsilon is resistant to herbicides containing tribenuron-methyl (SU) at a dosage of 50 g/ha, and it is tolerant to ragweed G-race (7 race), significantly reducing the risk of yield losses due to pests and weeds.

Recommended for cultivation in regions with adequate and insufficient moisture, including the Central Chernozem, North Caucasus, and Lower Volga regions. For optimal growth and development, a planting density of 55 to 65 thousand plants per hectare is recommended, depending on moisture conditions.
