Hybrid sunflower DARYL is a high-yielding triple-line hybrid with olein-type oil, having a medium-early vegetation period of up to 110 days. Plants reach a height of 160 to 175 cm, and large heads have a diameter of 18 to 23 cm. The 1000-seed mass is approximately 52-62 g, with oil content in seeds reaching 51%, making this hybrid particularly valuable for producing high-quality oil. Seed moisture is within 20-22%, and shell content reaches 99.7%, ensuring ease of processing.
Hybrid DARYL exhibits high resistance to lodging, shattering, and major sunflower diseases such as false powdery mildew, downy mildew, gray and white mold. Thanks to its strong root system, it can withstand stressful conditions including drought and strong winds, allowing cultivation in various climatic zones, including forest-steppe and steppe regions, as well as areas with excessive rainfall or dry climates. The potential yield of this hybrid reaches 3.7 t/ha, with actual yields varying on average from 2.5 to 3.5 t/ha depending on conditions and agronomy.
To achieve maximum productivity, standard high-intensity sunflower cultivation technology is recommended, with special attention to supplying plants with necessary nutrients throughout all growth stages. Leaf fertilization with microfertilizers such as Nanit Turbo, Nanit Premium, and Nanit B11 is crucial, as they contribute to both quantitative and qualitative yield increase. Hybrid DARYL was developed and recommended for planting by the Institute of V.Ya. Yuryev and has been included in the Ukrainian Plant Variety Register since 2005, confirming its reliability and adaptability.
