Description SALTUS
The Soltus soybean variety is an ultra-early semi-determinate hybrid designed for cultivation under various climatic conditions. The plant is of medium height, ranging from 60 to 100 cm, with an upright stem and reddish-brown pubescence. Leaves have an acuminate-ovate shape with weak blistering and are green in color, while the flowers are purple. Seeds are of medium size, yellow in color with a dark brown hilum; the mass of 1000 seeds varies from 160 to 197 g. The height of attachment of the lower pod is about 12 cm.

The variety is distinguished by high yield and stability in various soil and climatic zones. The vegetative period is 95-105 days, corresponding to the ultra-early maturity group. Yield in trials reached from 16.4 to 35.3 c/ha, while protein content in seeds reaches 37.5-42.0%, and fat — 20.7-23.6%. The potential protein content according to the breeder data may reach 43%. The variety is characterized by high resistance to lodging, pod shattering, as well as to diseases such as septoria, cercospora, downy mildew, ascochytosis, peronosporosis, and sclerotinia.

Soybean Soltus is genetically drought-tolerant and requires minimal fertilizer application during the formation of generative organs, which makes it economically beneficial for cultivation. Sowing rate depends on the sowing method: in wide-row sowing — 650 thousand grains per hectare, in row sowing — 850 thousand grains. High resistance to herbicides and shedding ensures crop preservation and facilitates agricultural practices. Due to its characteristics, the Soltus variety is suitable for intensive farming and provides quick and stable income.
