Soybean SOER 5

Stability and Adaptability in Arid Climates

"SOER 5" is a result of advanced breeding by the FANC of the South-East and "Yuves 2000". This variety is specifically tailored for regions suffering from moisture deficits, where rapid growth cycles are essential. With a vegetation period of 90–100 days, the crop matures before the peak of summer heat, providing a distinct advantage over mid-to-late maturing varieties.

Harvesting Efficiency

A common hurdle in dryland soy farming is the low positioning of the bottom pods, which leads to significant harvesting losses. "SOER 5" addresses this with a pod attachment height of 12–14 cm on a plant 50–60 cm tall. This physical structure makes it exceptionally well-suited for mechanical harvesting, ensuring that losses are kept to a minimum.

Seed Quality

The variety shows a balanced chemical composition, highly valued by processors:

• Protein content: 35–37%
• Oil content: 22–23%

These metrics make it a consistent raw material for oil extraction plants and protein feed production.

Who is this variety for?

"SOER 5" is the ideal choice for farmers in regions with harsh, dry climates who prioritize stable yields over speculative growth. Its primary strength lies in resilience under stress. While it may not reach the peak yields of taller, late-season hybrids in high-moisture conditions, it excels in reliability and ease of harvest. It is a precise tool for those looking for consistent performance in difficult agricultural environments.
